AC13 returns to Soulvent in 2020 with quite the statement in the form of ‘Atlas’. Marking the first ever 1-track single in Soulvent’s 6 year history, Jay continues his consistent form which has seen him put out numerous bangers across a myriad of labels in a relatively short space of time. While his somewhat meteoric rise has cemented a sound firmly at the jump-up/dancefloor end of the scale, this release certainly shows that he can also produce sublime liquid too - when the mood takes him - something that his fans have been clamouring for.

‘Atlas’ kicks into gear with moody pads and a soft piano line over rolling drums, opening up into a melancholic chord progression - then suddenly slapping hard with a huge bass synth stab, a notable motif you might have heard in some of his other work. Providing his own vocals under the new vocal-alias King DeepField, ‘Atlas’ certainly showcases his many talents with its yearning vocals, smooth flow and precise arrangement.

Continuing en route to stardom and expanding upon his Soulvent offerings, following ‘Exodus’ on ‘5 Years of Soulvent’ and his bass heavy 4-track debut ‘Drag Race’ back in 2019; this standalone tune is more restrained than his usual high-octane output but no less impressive. Available in all good stores from the 15th of May.
