In 1996 Tony Colman and Chris Goss, two boyhood friends from London, converted acid jazz, a popular mainframe music language, using early personal computer systems (PCs), into what we now know as liquid drum and bass. Shortly afterwards, in the basement of abandoned medical institution, Colman and Goss founded Hospital Records.
